The Gin Bible is Going Global

NOT ALL THOSE WHO WANDER ARE LOST

IT'S OFFICIAL... THE GIN BIBLE IS GOING GLOBAL

So it’s official, The Gin Bible is going global. Our wanderlust has got the better of us and we’ve decided to explore the world, one gin at a time. The route will take us to 3 continents, 12 countries and a hell of a lot of gin bars and distilleries! We’ll be blogging and reviewing along the way so make sure you follow our journey.

The route will take us through India, experiencing the vibrant streets of Delhi, Udaipur’s romantic lakeside ambiance, the laidback bohemian vibes of Goa and Kerala’s magical spice routes.

Travel Series: India

The next pin on our map will be South East Asia. Here, we will be experiencing the vast cultural and architectural differences that co-exist. We will be exploring (and consuming) gin in bars on the picturesque beaches and in the tropical terrain of Vietnam and Cambodia, as well as sampling the spirit throughout the vibrant, bustling streets in the big cities of Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

Vietnam

Flying half way around the world (literally), we will be learning about the gin culture in South America, journeying through the continent’s diverse landscapes, exciting cities, and breathtaking natural wonders. We want to experience gin in the rough wilderness and the Amazon rainforest, just as much as we want to enjoy it in the cobbled streets of the Latin inspired cities of Cuzco and Buenos Aires.

And whilst we’re off pretending to be the Christopher Columbus’ of the gin world, we need help from our loyal juniper disciples – we need help from you. We’re looking for recommendations and/or contacts of gin bars, gin distilleries, gin shops or even just gin lovers from the parts of the world that we are going to be visiting. If you can help, please leave a comment below, or get involved on social media.

WE NEED YOU!

Like any nation going into battle, we need help from our fellow gin civilians to man the Fort whilst we’re away. We’re looking for a few people to write some witty, insightful gin related content to be posted on The Gin Bible. Don’t worry, we’re not looking for professionals as we pride ourselves on the fact that we are just your average gin lovers, but if you enjoy writing and more importantly enjoy gin, then this will be right up your street. We’ve only got a limited amount of places, but if you’d like to be considered please email your choice of topic and an opening paragraph to info@theginbible.com. We look forward to reading your entries!

In the words of the very wise Fatima Mernissi, ‘travel is about learning, about crossing boundaries,…about making the effort to understanding other cultures’. We are travelling to explore our passion, and to meet and learn from those from different cultures who nevertheless still share our same passion.

We want you share our wanderlust, and share our journey. Follow our adventure here.

So, until next time - Bottoms up!

After a few months of passive aggressive wall-knocking and sliding notes under the door, it took a first date – that turned into an eleven drink-long bar crawl – to realise we had a lot in common. Travel, food, and gin.
