About This Gin

Caorunn, a Scottish gin, is handmade using six classic and five locally-sourced botanicals. They claim their gin mixes ruggedness with an urban edge.

Our Opinion

If we’re honest, this gin hasn’t been overly special for us. Don’t get us wrong, it is a nice gin, it’s drinkable, just not memorable.

About This Gin

This small batch gin, created by Hotel Chocolat, starts its’ life as a traditional gin, distilled in copper stills. It’s the Saint Lucian cocoa shells that make this gin completely unique, giving this gin a ‘bitter backstop’.

Our Opinion

What a lovely little present this was! Accompanied by a bar of Hotel Chocolat’s finest chocolate, this was a gift from A to D. We always bang on about trying new and unusual gins, and this was another big tick in that box. The cocoa shells weren’t overpowering, and the gin itself was good. We didn’t expect such a fine gin to come from a chocolate company. Perhaps this is a company to keep an eye on?
