About This Gin

This gin’s origin dates all the way back to the 19th century, although its name only goes back to 1932. Larios gin is created in Madrid, Spain, and this edition is infused with strawberries to give it some extra flavour.

Our Opinion

We picked up this gin in duty free in a European airport. Its’ striking pink bottle was an instant attention grabber, and by now you must realise that we’re suckers for a interestingly flavoured gin. If only it was that interesting. It’s claimed to be infused with strawberries, but that flavour unfortunately does not come across at all. We were bitterly disappointed, but for a cheap-ish drink, can we really grumble?

About This Gin

Described by the creators (Brew Dog), Lone Wolf is a ‘twenty-first century taste sensation’. This gin uses an array of botanicals, but juniper is still really the MVP. To add extra flavour to the juniper, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and pink peppercorns are all amongst the added botanicals to bring out this gins completely unique flavour and truly heighten the juniper.

Our Opinion

Now, we’re going to be honest with you, only one of us actually drank this gin. It was a cold and rainy afternoon in the north, so being the couple that we are, we went out for a couple of beverages. We were making our way down a street packed full of bars (we’re not very good at going out for just one), and D dragged A into Brewdog, promising that it wouldn’t be all beer. D felt that it would be a crime to drink something other than a beer in this particular establishment, so opted for a pint, whilst A took one for the team and went for the gin. We sat there with our drinks, and had a quick game of Jenga – A won :(.

This gin was packed full of flavour, the peppercorns added an extra dimension, and the lemon grass was a great edition!
